EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR'S REPORT

Mr. Mandeville reported that the number of complaints received in December are 3 and the total for 2008 are 82.

Mr. Mandeville reported that the next regular Board meeting has been scheduled for Tuesday, February 3, 2009 in the Hudson Conference Room, 6th floor.

Mr. Mandeville reported that the licensee renewals were mailed the end of December.

The committee reported that section A) Bradley &Son Funeral Home, number 1, was approved for four (4) hours only, section C) MKJ Marketing was not approved, section F) Funeral Review. Com, numbers 1 - 13, there is insufficient documentation, missing information and was not approved. On motion made by Ms. Churchman, seconded by Mr. Goldstein, the Board determined to accept the committee report as read. All voted in favor of the motion.

CORRESPONDENCE

Vice President Carolyn D. Johnson of Everest The First Nationwide Funeral Planning and Concierge Service sent a letter regarding the Compliance with FTC Funeral Rule. The Board has determined that they have not received sufficient evidence and they can forward the complaint to the FTC.

OPEN DISCIPLINARY MATTERS

None.

ITEMS FOR DISCUSSION

None.

PUBLIC COMMENT

Adam Guziejewski, NJSFDA wanted to know if the Board is using the standard CEU form. Mr. Mandeville informed him that we have the same form and that there has been no changes.

EXECUTIVE SESSION - 10:10 A.M. on motion made by Mr. Lombardi, seconded by Mr. Galante, the Board determined to go onto executive session to discuss consumer complaints and/or conduct investigative inquiries. The results of these deliberations will be made known when and if the Board determines to initiate disciplinary or other law enforcement action. If the Board determines to issue uniform penalty letters, that action will be taken in public session immediately after the executive session.
